Neutrogena complete acne therapy system irritated my skin?

after using this for about a week or two my acne cleared up wonderfully and i loved it. but the skin above my eyes like the eyelid area got really red, dry, and flaky. it looks terrible and my eyes got swollen. i discontinued use and went back to normal facewash. it cleared up and i started to use a different facewash called neutrogena gfruit scrub. for some reason the weird rash on my eyelids came back. my acne is also back. i hate my acne but i hate the rash even more. what do i do? i am afraid to use any acne facewash or anything with salilyic acid in it now because i think that is what irritates my skin. but i hate my acne and i want to get rid of it, what do i do? and what will help with the redness and irritation on my eyelids?
