Can you have electronic stability control installed in a used car?

I bought my car 2 years ago w/o ESC. I got a toyota corolla with ABS and side airbags. The other day I was driving on the expressway and the person driving a car in the left lane right next to me attempted to get into my lane. I honked and swerved slightly to the right (but I stayed in my lane) to avoid an accident. It got there attention but then my car kept moving from right to left for about 3 seconds. It was kind of scary and now I'm regretting not having ESC. Is it too late to have ESC installed? Would it have helped me in this situation (I was driving 70 mph).
