What does a consistent low BUN result in a blood test mean?

I was recently in the hospital for abdominal pain, appendicitis was ruled out. I was in-patient for few days and on my chem screen serology my BUN readings were consistenly low. I've had low readings as well in the past. Is this cause for concern?
